Solid Braid

Construction:

  • Cover braid over parallel inner core yarns
  • Parallel core yarns help to form a solid round rope or cord
  • Individual yarns can be twisted or untwisted
  • Not spliceable
  • Torque free under load

Solid braid, like sash braid produces a firm round rope, the difference is that solid braid has several parallel yarns or cores, either braided or slightly twisted running down the centre of an outer braided cover. Typical materials are polyester, and nylon, and typical industries are recreational, tent & awning, and  film & theatre
